Matthan the Lamp
One afternoon, our family was relaxing in the living room when something seemed a little... “different.” I say this because I instantly knew what the matter was. I just kept quiet and didn’t share what I noticed.
Of course, there was giggling so we all kinda knew what was going on, but everyone glanced over to the corner of the living room. There stood a tall lamp with a lampshade on top. It looked perfectly normal. Or so it seemed. For the next ten minutes, we all went about our business while the lamp remained suspiciously still. Then Kadance said, "That lamp has sneakers.” Everyone froze. The lamp froze harder. "Wait a minute..." I sarcastically said. Suddenly, the lamp let out a tiny giggle."THE LAMP IS LAUGHING!" someone yelled.
The lamp exploded into laughter as Matthan ripped off the lampshade and shouted, "YOU'VE BEEN LAMPED!" We all burst out laughing. Just then, he tried to strike another lamp pose and accidentally bumped into the real lamp.
CRASH!
The real lamp fell over.
"So you're not very good at being a lamp after all," I told him.
